I bought one of these as an impulse buy at the register at Whole Foods last week, and saved it in my snack drawer until it became my breakfast this morning.
It’s basically like a portable bowl of oatmeal. A very sweet, buttery bowl of oatmeal. The ingredients are oats, brown rice syrup, vegan butter, sugar, apricots and xanthan gum.
So lots of sweet and lots of butter. Not so much apricot. That explains the calories. Definitely moist, but a bit too sweet for my palette, though it only comes in at 9g sugar (a small apple has ~15). I guess I like my snacks a little bit more healthy tasting. Sorry Bobo’s!
EDIT:
HOLY CRAP! I just realized, right after I posted this, that this tiny little bar was supposed to be 2 SERVINGS?!?! I take it back, I’m not in anyway sorry Bobo’s. That’s not something I ever want to put in my mouth again, even if it is baked from the heart! Ugh! That means it was actually 12g of fat & 360 calories, and it wasn’t any bigger than my palm! This is a deceptively packaged little candy bar.
I like these, but I like the original/ plain ones. I usually only eat half the bar at a time, not because I even realized that was a serving but it just seems so dense.
I did pause about halfway, but only because it was so sweet.
