I decided to spoil myself to a nice vegan lunch last week from 4th Generation Market. I had heard that they had a great vegan reuben, so I decided to check it out on this visit. I also picked up an oatmeal sandwich cookie, which I’ve had from them before and a raw blueberry macaroon. I polished off the cookie while driving back to the work parking lot to find a shady spot to eat.
The sandwich was pretty good. It was pressed panini style, as I’m sure you can already tell, which was different than the ones I’ve had elsewhere, and the bread was an especially tasty multigrain sort.
This macaroon was heavenly! It was completely raw and was made up of lovely things like blueberries, coconut, agave, etc. I would definitely pick up some more of these next time I pay them a visit. They had a couple of variations on them too. I think a chocolate chip one for you chocolate fiends.
I feel pretty lucky to have 4th Generation’s cafe so close by. I’d probably eat there a lot more if they were open later, but I’m going to try to make a point of picking up lunch there a little more often. : )
