So apparently Thomas (who’s an omni that craves vegan foods lots) had secretly watched the vegan zombie pizza rolls video several times before he put in a request. I had some pizza dough frozen, so it was easy enough to oblige, but he kept cracking me up, because he seemed to have comitted much of their preparation to memory!
I didn’t have any pizza sauce or marinara, so I threw what I did have together to make this:
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
1 14.5 oz can of diced fire roasted tomatoes w garlic
About 1/3 c. of leftover chopped roma tomatoes
Squirt of ketchup
Squirt of agave
This made a ton of sauce. Way more than you need for the rolls & for dipping, so I’ll probably use the rest as a base for pasta sauce.
I used about half of that vegan sausage and “large” dough ball to make 4 pizza rolls, which we promptly ate all up. They were so good that they actually broke my pizza stone with their awesomeness!
