So, as you may already know… I like to order plain bread sticks and pizza without cheese when I’m feeling lazy or having a craving. You also may already know how much I like using the daiya mozarella shreds on it. But I may have failed to mention how very much I like yves meatless pepperonies too!
They are very low in fat and calories and pack a super punch of protein. Eaten alone, they have a slight “taste”. However I’ve gotten so used to it that I really crave them now, even alone. Paired with bread or pizza, they are reminiscent of the real deal. I’ve even eaten them with toast for breakfast or lunch many, many times, and can easily eat half the package without paying attention.
Here is the pie with extra sauce, Daiya mozzarella, pineapple & banana peppers, and Yves meatless pepperoni. I asked them to not cut it, added my toppings, threw it under the broiler for about 5 minutes, and then added some nutritional yeast & crushed red peppers! : )
